Summary
Keep On is provided by Hyperstatic LLC. The app stores your habit information on your devices and uses Apple services only for features you choose. Keep On does not operate an account system or an advertising, analytics, or habit-data server.
The app does not sell personal data, use cross-app tracking, or use habit activity for targeted advertising.
Data on your devices
Habit names, optional notes, icons, colors, schedules, goals, reminder settings, check-ins, corrections, timer sessions, progress, and app preferences are stored in Keep On’s local app storage.
Keep On’s iPhone app, widgets, Live Activities, App Intents, and other extensions use an Apple App Group to exchange only the local snapshots and action results they need. The Apple Watch companion receives habit snapshots and sends check-ins through Apple’s Watch connectivity system.
Local notifications are scheduled on your device. Their titles and reminder text may include a habit name so the reminder is useful.
Apple Health
If you create an Apple Health habit, Keep On asks for read access only to the specific supported measure connected to that habit, such as steps, exercise time, sleep, or water. Permission is controlled by Apple Health and can be changed at any time.
Keep On does not write data to Apple Health. Health readings and Keep On corrections to automatically tracked habits stay on the device. They are excluded from Keep On backup and export files and are not sent to a Keep On server.
Screen Time
If you create a Screen Time habit, Apple’s Family Controls picker lets you privately select apps, categories, or websites. Apple provides opaque selection tokens; Keep On does not receive the human-readable list of what you selected.
Keep On uses Apple’s Device Activity framework to determine whether the threshold you chose was crossed. Selection tokens and device-activity records stay on the device, are excluded from backups and exports, and are not sent to a Keep On server.
iCloud Drive recovery backup
Automatic recovery backup is optional. When enabled, Keep On writes a current recovery copy and a limited number of previous copies to the app’s private iCloud Drive container associated with your Apple Account.
These files are recovery copies, not live multi-device sync: changes do not merge automatically across devices. Apple Health readings, Screen Time selections, and rebuildable device-only summaries are excluded.
You can turn backup off and remove the recovery copies Keep On created from inside the app. Files you manually exported to another location remain wherever you chose to save them until you delete them there.
Widgets, Apple Watch, shortcuts, and notifications
Widgets, controls, shortcuts, App Intents, Live Activities, notification actions, and Apple Watch use Apple’s on-device frameworks and Keep On’s shared local container. They do not create a Keep On cloud account.
iOS and watchOS decide when widgets and complications refresh. Keep On may preserve the last trustworthy local snapshot and its age rather than claim that stale information is live.
App Store purchases
Purchases and restores are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Hyperstatic does not receive your payment-card information. Keep On receives product and entitlement results needed to determine whether a purchase is verified for the Apple Account in use.
Apple’s handling of App Store transactions is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy and terms.
Support messages
If you choose Email Support, Keep On prepares a message in your mail app. The safe diagnostic snapshot can include the app and iOS versions, device family, counts of active and connected habits, permission summaries, notification status, and backup status.
That snapshot excludes habit names, notes, schedules, check-in history, Health values, Screen Time selections, account details, and device identifiers. You decide whether to send the message and whether to attach anything else.
If you email Hyperstatic, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you send. We use them to respond, diagnose the issue, protect the service, and retain a reasonable support record. Do not send information you do not want included in support correspondence.
Your choices and deletion
- Change Apple Health, Screen Time, notification, and badge permissions in iOS Settings or the relevant Apple settings app.
- Archive or delete individual habits inside Keep On.
- Turn off automatic backup and remove Keep On recovery copies from the Backup & Restore screen.
- Delete manually exported backup files in the Files app wherever you saved them.
- Delete the app to remove its local app container, subject to Apple’s normal device and backup behavior.
- Ask us to remove support correspondence when applicable by emailing the address below.
Security, children, and changes
Keep On relies on Apple’s app sandbox, data protection, App Groups, HealthKit, Family Controls, StoreKit, Watch connectivity, and iCloud Drive security. No system can promise absolute security.
Keep On is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy when the app’s features or data practices change. Material changes will be reflected here before they apply, and the effective date will be revised.
