PRIVACY

Effective August 1, 2026
Last updated August 1, 2026

Burn List does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. Your list stays on your device.

What the app stores

Burn List stores the following information locally on your iPhone so the app can work:

  • Task titles and completion status
  • Your reminder interval, escalation preference, and quiet-hour settings
  • Your choice about whether task names may appear in notifications

This information is stored in the app’s private container on your device. Hyperstatic LLC does not operate a Burn List account system or server and does not receive this information.

Notifications

If you grant notification permission, Burn List schedules reminders locally through Apple’s notification system. Task names are hidden from notification text by default. If you turn on Show task names, a task title may appear on your lock screen according to your iPhone notification-preview settings.

Notification content is created on your device. Hyperstatic LLC does not receive or store it.

What we do not collect

Burn List contains no advertising, analytics SDKs, tracking technology, account login, or third-party data collection. We do not collect location, contacts, photos, health data, identifiers, purchase history, or usage activity through the app.

Apple may independently process App Store, device, or diagnostic information under Apple’s own terms and privacy policies. Burn List does not add its own telemetry to that process.

Retention and deletion

Your current list remains on your device until you clear it, finish every task, or remove the app. Completed tasks remain visible while unfinished work remains; at the next day rollover, completed tasks are removed and unfinished tasks carry forward. When you finish the entire list, the app clears it after the flame finale and offers a five-second Undo while the app remains open.

You can delete individual tasks by swiping left and tapping the trash action. Start fresh removes the current list while preserving reminder preferences. Deleting Burn List from your iPhone removes its locally stored app data, subject to Apple’s device and backup behavior.

Because Hyperstatic LLC does not receive your Burn List data, there is no server-side account or personal data record for us to retrieve or delete.

Your choices

  • Turn task names in notifications on or off inside Burn List Settings.
  • Change quiet hours, pause reminders temporarily, or disable notifications in iPhone Settings.
  • Delete tasks, choose Start fresh, or uninstall the app to remove local data.

Children’s privacy

Burn List does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

Policy changes

If Burn List’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before the changed practices take effect. The effective date above will also be revised.
